Penn State heads into the 2025 season after one of its best seasons under coach James Franklin.
The Nittany Lions went 13-3 but fell to Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff Semifinals.
And while Penn State lost its two most important players to the NFL Draft -- edge rusher Abdul Carter and tight end Tyler Warren -- it retained quarterback Drew Allar.
The Nittany Lions also added three receivers from the transfer portal in Trebor Pena (Syracuse), Devonte Ross (Troy) and Kyron Hudson (USC).

The team of Steve Jones (play-by-play) and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jack Ham (color analyst) will call Penn State games. Jones has been calling Penn State games for more than two decades. Ham was a star linebacker for the Nittany Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers before becoming an analyst.
