Texas A&M pulled off a crazy comeback win over Notre Dame on Saturday, which led Aggies head coach Mike Elko to gain some hardware this week.
Elko was selected as the Paul "Bear" Bryant and Dodd Trophy National Coach of the Week.
Elko couldn't have won the impressive awards without the outstanding performances of some of his superstars. Quarterback Marcel Reed threw for 360 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing seven times for 37 yards, and receivers Mario Craver and KC Concepcion combined for 11 receptions for 289 yards and a touchdown.
While Texas A&M's defense gave up 40 points, they still managed to record two sacks and an interception.
The Aggies' win over the Fighting Irish puts them in a great position to make a run at the College Football Playoffs, but they will have to get through a tough SEC schedule.
Texas A&M has a bye this week but will return to action on Sept. 27th. to host Auburn in their first SEC matchup of the season.
