Miami missed the College Football Playoff last year thanks to two losses in the final three regular-season games. It finished 10-3 but started 9-0.
The 2025 campaign is vastly different after the team acquired Carson Beck in the offseason. The former Georgia quarterback transferred in for his fifth collegiate season and third as the primary starter.
The Hurricanes immediately had playoff aspirations with Beck under center. They entered the season as the No. 10 team in the country and have already exceeded expectations.
Miami is 4-0 and the No. 2 team in the poll. It jumped two spots following last week's 26-7 victory over Florida. The Hurricanes already have wins against No. 6 Notre Dame and No. 18 South Florida on their resume.
The team gets a break, however, as they enter a bye week. Upon returning to action in October, the Hurricanes will face a potent Florida State squad on the road.

Miami doesn't play during Week 5 of the college football season. The team is on a bye week after a 4-0 start to the season.
The Hurricanes return to the field on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 7:30 p.m. ET against No. 8 Florida State. The game will be played at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida.
