The Lakers rolled to a 45-9 victory over Lincoln (Pa.) last Saturday, breaking in a new-look offense with few hiccups. Redshirt freshman quarterback Andrew Schuster threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns, completing 17 of 21 passes.
It was a statement-making debut for Schuster, who entered the game with zero completions in his collegiate career.
Next up is Black Hills State, which suffered a narrow six-point loss to Sioux Falls in its season opener last Thursday. Redshirt senior quarterback Luke Duby threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns in the losing effort.
