Former Arkansas Razorbacks star Karmen Curl vows not to play Madden this year after the legendary football video game released its new trailer for Madden 26.
The video snippet showed Curl getting juked to the ground by Philadelphia Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley.
Curl, who currently plays for the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL, was not having it after watching the video game version of himself getting embarrassed on the field.
“LMAO I ain’t playing Madden this year,” he wrote on X with a middle finger emoji.
Curl revealed he was a big fan of the game until this new trailer dropped.
“Been playing all my life and this is how my first time being on the trailer gonna be,” he added in a reply to a fan on his original tweet.
A Rams fan account reposted Curl’s tweet with crying emojis that have already amassed close to 800,000 views as of this writing.
The Ram safety was a three-year starter for the Razorbacks before he was drafted by the Washington Commanders in the seventh round in 2020. He initially started as a cornerback for the Razorbacks before switching to safety in his sophomore year.
Curl played for four seasons with the Commanders before signing with the Rams for a two-year, $9 million contract ($6 million guaranteed) last year.
In his first season with the Rams, the 6-foot-2 safety logged 79 combined tackles (49 solo), nine pass deflections, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one sack, and one touchdown in 16 games.
Madden 26 is scheduled for release on August 14, with the NFL season starting a month later.
