The Florida Gators lost a home game against the South Florida Bulls on Saturday by a final score of 18-16. Florida was a big favorite against South Florida in this football game.

The Gators were ranked 13th in the country before the game. After the polls were released on Sunday, Florida dropped out of the Top 25. Fans are already fed up with head coach Billy Napier in his fourth season with the program. The Gators fans want him fired as head coach and they also believe that he should have been fired after last season.

Florida Gators Fans are Livid with Head Coach Billy Napier After He Announces He Will Continue Play Calling

Many were wondering if Napier was going to continue calling plays for the Gators offense or not ahead of the Week 3 matchup against the #3 LSU Tigers on the road. Well, it appears as if Napier is going to continue calling the plays for this Gators offense. The fans are upset with this decision by the head coach, and they believe that there should be somebody else calling the plays for this offense.

It almost feels inevitable that Napier is going to be fired as the Gators head coach at this point. The offense will continue to regress with quarterback DJ Lagway. Florida has a difficult schedule ahead. There is a chance where they will win only three or four games maximum during the 2025 college football season.

If Florida does not show improvement over the next few games, then there is a very good chance that Napier is going to be fired during the middle of the season. Gators fans want to see wins and see this team turn it around, but they also know that Napier is not the right man to lead this football program to success.
