Every starting QB for Oklahoma from 2015-23 will start in NFL this weekend image

The Oklahoma Sooners are looking at a banner upcoming weekend in the NFL ranks with their former pupils.

In fact, every quarterback who started for OU from 2015 through 2023 will start in NFL games this weekend.

That list encompasses six QBs. It's a complete set thanks to the Cleveland Browns' decision to start Dillon Gabriel as a replacement for Joe Flacco in Sunday's game in London against the Minnesota Vikings.

Here's the full list:

Oklahoma starting QBs from 2015-23

Baker Mayfield

Started at Oklahoma from 2015-17 and is now the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' QB.

Kyler Murray

Started at Oklahoma in 2018 and is now the Arizona Cardinals' QB.

Jalen Hurts

Started at Oklahoma in 2019 and is now the Philadelphia Eagles' QB.

Spencer Rattler

Started at Oklahoma in 2020-21 and is now the New Orleans Saints' QB.

Caleb Williams

Started at Oklahoma in 2021 before transferring to USC, and is now the Chicago Bears' QB.

Dillon Gabriel

Started at Oklahoma in 2022-23 before transferring to Oregon, and is now the Cleveland Browns' starting QB.

The transfer link

All six players above transferred one way or the other.

Mayfield, Murray and Hurts all transferred to OU and finished their college careers as Sooners.

Rattler and Williams both transferred away from OU.

And Gabriel transferred in and then transferred out.

Their winding journeys all led them to the NFL and starting spots in Week 5 of the 2025 season.
