Florida State's Friday night loss to Virginia could be more costly than originally thought.
ESPN College Gameday announced the next appearance for the show on Sunday. Many thought the crew would be headed to Tallahassee for the rivalry matchup with the No. 3 Miami Hurricanes. However, those plans were apparently scrapped in favor of a trip to Tuscaloosa for Alabama's game with Vanderbilt.

The Crimson Tide defeated Georgia in Athens to move back inside the top 10 after an early season loss to FSU. As for No. 16 Vanderbilt (5-0), this will be another opportunity to knock off Bama in SEC play. There will be interest in Alabama getting revenge, especially after a big win over Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs.
But the Miami-FSU is one of college football's greatest rivalries and could have upset written all over it. Being able to play into the SEC storylines can wait until the end of the season. The game between the Canes and Noles will have Playoff implications. If FSU wins, they're right back in the middle of the conversation. If Miami stays undefeated, they firmly take over as the ACC's best team. It carries more weight overall, but ESPN had other plans.
College football's most popular pregame show will be set up outside Bryant-Denny Stadium as a homecoming for former Tide coach Nick Saban. No. 10 Alabama continues SEC play against No. 16 Vanderbilt on Saturday (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC).
