Pittsburgh alum and NFL legend Aaron Donald will serve as the celebrity guest picker on ESPN’s College GameDay when the show visits the Steel City for Saturday’s matchup between Pitt and No. 9 Notre Dame.
Donald was one of the most decorated defensive players in NFL history. He starred for the Panthers 15 years ago before becoming a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year with the Los Angeles Rams.
Donald’s appearance continues a run of both prominent former and current NFL players joining the set. Last week, Texas Tech great Patrick Mahomes took on guest-picker duties in Lubbock, and two weeks ago former Utah quarterback Alex Smith appeared in Salt Lake City.

The visit comes as Pittsburgh is riding a five-game winning streak after a 2-2 start. They'll aims to keep its postseason hopes alive and play the role as possible spoiler.
Both the Panthers and Fighting Irish enter with two losses, leaving little margin for error in the College Football Playoff race. However, Notre Dame has more to lose im the matchup and can't fall back on a conference record as an FBS independent.
Kickoff from Acrisure Stadium is set for Noon ET on ABC.
