The stage is set at Folsom Field in Boulder as the Colorado Buffaloes welcome the Wyoming Cowboys on Saturday.

Colorado is coming off a rough outing against Houston, where struggles on both offense and defense left plenty to be desired. Still, this weekend’s clash offers a golden chance to hit the reset button and find some rhythm against a 2–1 Wyoming squad.

The Cowboys showed grit in last week’s battle with No. 16 Utah. Their defense bent but didn’t break early on, keeping the Utes to just three points in the first half, aided by a pair of missed field goals and a timely fumble recovery. For long stretches, Utah’s offense was left scratching its head against the Cowboys’ resilience.

On the flip side, Colorado’s defense has been springing leaks for three straight weeks, especially when it comes to slowing down opposing quarterbacks. In the opener, Georgia Tech’s Haynes King didn’t light up the stat sheet through the air with 143 yards, but he tore the Buffs apart on the ground, piling up 156 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
