Week 12 is officially upon us as the 2023 college football season nears its end. In the midst of it all, "College GameDay" has made a number of notable stops for games that did not disappoint.

After spending some time in the Southeastern Conference recently, the crew this week will turn its attention to a Sun Belt Conference destination featuring a matchup with one of college football's most interesting teams this year.

Last week, "College GameDay" watched No. 1 Georgia defeat No. 13 Ole Miss, 52-17.

Where is 'College GameDay' location for Week 12?

  • Time: 9 a.m. ET
  • Matchup: No. 18 James Madison vs. Appalachian State

"College Gameday" is heading to Harrisonburg, Virginia on Saturday as the Dukes face the Mountaineers in what has been a storybook season for James Madison as it has found a place in the rankings.

James Madison is currently 10-0, sitting atop the SBC East with its most recent win coming over UConn, 44-6. The Dukes have had no trouble getting to the scoreboard, either, putting up at least 30 points in their past three games.

App State is 6-4 overall (4-2), third in the SBC East behind Coastal Carolina. The team has been on a three-game winning streak, most recently toppling Georgia Southern, 42-14 on the road.

The last time the Mountaineers lost a game was Oct. 21, when they fell 28-21 to Old Dominion.

James Madison-Appalachian State is set for a 2 p.m. ET (1 p.m. CT) kickoff and will broadcast on ESPN+. This is the third time "College Gameday" will make an appearance at JMU having also visited in 2015 and 2017.

"College GameDay" will end earlier, as the show begins at 9 a.m. ET and wraps up at noon ET. Lee Corso will make his headgear pick as the show concludes.
