College football rankings: Miami survives to stick at No. 2, top 10 stays the same image

Miami overcame a surprising challenge against Virginia on Saturday, and the Hurricanes remain No. 2 in the latest college football rankings released Sunday.

This week's top 10 stayed almost completely the same, with the only change being Oklahoma State's exit from the top 10 in the AP Poll after a loss to West Virginia. TCU took the No. 10 spot in the AP Poll after it defeated Texas Tech. Oklahoma State, with an 8-3 record, fell all the way to No. 18 in the AP Poll. The top 10 in the Coaches Poll stayed unchanged.

Northwestern, Virginia Tech and Boise State entered the rankings this week. Northwestern posted a 39-0 win over Big Ten opponent Minnesota on Saturday.
