Clemson might just be the most disappointing team in college football.
The Tigers entered the season ranked No. 4 in the country, and now find themselves outside of the Top 25. They didn't even earn one vote for the Top 25 in Week 5. It's a hard fall for a team that reached the College Football Playoff last year.
Clemson is 1-3, including 0-2 in the ACC. It lost to No. 9 LSU to open the season before winning against Troy the next week. The team didn't drop out of the rankings until Week 4, following the loss to Georgia Tech on the road.
To make matters worse, Clemson lost to Syracuse the following week, essentially keeping Clemson out of the playoffs in 2025. Luckily, the Tigers have a break this week and can recoup their mojo heading into October.
If there's any hope for success this season, this bye week will have to pay dividends.
