Alabama commit on 5-star recruits: 'We got more coming' image

The Alabama Crimson Tide are rolling on the recruiting trail.

Kalen DeBoer's program leads the nation with three five-star commitments in the 2026 class - cornerback Jorden Edwards, linebacker Xavier Griffin and running back Ezavier Crowell.

But more help is on the way.

"All (I'm going to) say is we got more coming," he wrote on social media.

According to Crowell, the nation's No. 2 running back, Alabama is poised to add at least one more five-star recruit soon.

That statement tracks.

Benjamin Russel (Alabama) five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan is set to announce his college commitment Wednesday - and all signs point to an Alabama commitment.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound pass-catcher is the nation's No. 2 wide receiver and the Crimson Tide got the final visit.

They are also not traditionally a program that lets key in-state recruits leave home.

Just ask Crowell and Gadsen City (Alabama) elite cornerback Zyan Gibson, who both committed to the Crimson Tide already in the 2026 cycle.

Here's what 247Sports had to say about Morgan as a prospect:

"Evaluation echoes that of a luxury sports car: big, smooth, and powerful. Plays with obvious horsepower, accompanied by some encouraging physical refinement and nuance in regards to fluidity and locomotion."

"Dominant in contested scenarios as a consistent high pointer who exploits significant physical advantages vs. smaller defenders. Owns an enormous catch radius that gives a QB a large target throughout the route tree. Immensely productive with huge receiving numbers and even some limited defensive reps."

"Excellent multi-sport profile that includes averaging a double-double in hoops, an Alabama 6A high jump silver medal (6-8), and a 21.74 200-meter rep. Size and track speed suggests that another top-end gear in pads exists, and therefore consistent downfield separation ability. Shows encouraging short-to-intermediate route snap and leveraging ability, especially considering size."

"Uniquely gifted pass-catching target with outstanding physical tools and athletic chops. Projects as a high-major impact player with traits that suggest long-term NFL Draft high-round potential."
