Next fall, the United States Air Force Academy will host two football recruits hailing from Ohio.

They've put up two of the most incredible legacies that any high school football player can have.

Brayden DeVito and Grady Kinsey were both selected as finalists for The Ohio Mr. Football award on Wednesday.

Both teams are scheduled to compete in the state semifinals this Friday evening. As they are in the same classification, Division IV, victories on Friday would lead to them facing each other in a state final the subsequent week.

DeVito plays as a quarterback at Shelby High School.

During Shelby's final contest, DeVito achieved a remarkable feat. Including passes, runs, receptions, and defensive plays, he exceeded 200 career high school touchdowns, reaching 201 and still adding to the total.

Kinsey plays at Indian Valley High School.

Kinsey is Ohio's all-time leader in total touchdowns (136) and rushing touchdowns (131).

This season, prior to the state semifinals, he achieved 2,585 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns, following IV's 2024 state championship victory.

Both appear poised to transition their skills effectively to college football. Furthermore, they'll be joining forces as teammates, having previously competed in close proximity within the Buckeye State.
