During an appearance on the College GameDay show ahead of the Michigan Wolverines' Week 4 clash, interim head coach Biff Poggi recalled a promise former Alabama coach Nick Saban didn't live up to.
College GameDay host Pat McAfee asked Poggi about his history with Saban. Sherrone Moore's interim replacement started by calling Saban his close friend before recalling an incident regarding a Ferrari dealership.
Poggi said that years ago Saban has shared with him about the new Ferrari dealership he landed. Poggi was left excited with the news, and he said that he'd like to be the first person to buy the Ferrari 812 Superfast from Saban. It's 2025 and Poggi is still waiting for his car to arrive as he roasted the legendary coach, saying:
"Well, I will have a beard down to my knees before I see that 812 Superfast. He's drunk," Poggi said.
Saban was not about to lose the conversation. The seven-time national champion winning coach said that the Ferrari deal didn't go through because of Poggi's hesitation with the money.
"Well, here was the problem. When we got right down to the transaction, you had alligator arms. You could not reach into your pocket," Saban replied.
Poggi had the last laugh, citing the Rolls-Royce he bought instead.
"Why don’t you ask the Rolls dealer I just bought my car from, if I had alligator arms," Poggi said.
“You lost a friend and a customer.” 😭

Biff Poggi covering for suspended Sherrone Moore in Michigan's second straight week
Biff Poggi will again serve as Michigan's head coach for the Week 4 clash against Nebraska since head coach Sherrone Moore is serving his two-game suspension.
The self-imposed suspension is tied to Michigan’s investigation into the sign-stealing scandal involving Connor Stalions. This is the second straight game of Moore's suspension, following which he will resume his duties as head coach.
In Moore's absence, Poggi guided Michigan to a 63-3 win against Central Michigan. It remains to be seen if he gets through Nebraska as well on Saturday.
