The Miami Hurricanes are undefeated in the 2025 season, with transfer quarterback Carson Beck running the show. Last spring, Beck was expected to enter the NFL Draft, but an injury prevented that. Instead, he came to Miami as one of the best transfers in the country.
“The season-ending elbow injury Beck suffered during Georgia's SEC championship victory over Texas is one key reason he'll try to play one more college season to get back to first-round pick status," ESPN’s Max Olson wrote. "The elbow injury is also the lone reason Beck wasn't the No. 1 player in our transfer rankings. Beck was limited during spring practice, but the experience he brings to the table as a two-year starter is hard to beat."
The Hurricanes had No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward as their starter last season, and now Beck is likely to be another high draft pick. Miami didn’t hesitate to pay him either.
“Georgia transfer quarterback Carson Beck is expected to receive an NIL package that pays him $4 million in 2025," CBS Sports reported. "A massive sum but one that is still less than an initial asking price industry sources believe would have shattered the highest-paid NIL deal in college football history."
Beck has been lighting it up for the Hurricanes, and with a better defense, they are starting to become favorites to win the ACC. NFL defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko is high on Beck and also mentioned Georgia’s failure to fully develop him.
“I keep telling folks on this app QB1. You better buy stock on Carson Beck. I been watching undeveloped QB play all day. This is what it looks like,” Fehoko posted.

Beck was good at Georgia, but his receivers weren’t the best. It seems Miami has turned that around for him, and he is making large strides. If Beck is being noticed by current pro players, then he is definitely catching the eyes of general managers. This could very well be the year Miami gets over the hump and punches their ticket to the playoffs.
