The nation’s top-ranked quarterback in the 2028 recruiting class is closing in on a decision, and the consensus among recruiting analysts is that he’s headed to Georgia.
IMG Academy star Jayden Wade, who's considered the No. 1 overall prospect in the class, is expected to announce his college commitment on Sunday.
Wade has seven finalists with Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, Texas, Washington and Florida all in the mix. But multiple recruiting services project him to land with Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs

According to On3, Wade made multiple unofficial visits to both Georgia and USC, though the Trojans did not make his final cut. His potential commitment comes as Georgia prepares for its home showdown with Texas, which is expected to bring in dozens of elite recruits to Athens.
Wade, 6-foot-2 sophomore, has thrown for 1,383 yards and 20 touchdowns with just two interceptions this fall as the starting quarterback for IMG. He received his first FBS offer from San Jose State in 2022 when he was still in seventh grade.
“Cerebrally, he reminds me of C.J. Stroud,” said IMG coach Greg Studrawa, who previously coached at Ohio State. “He studies the game, understands protections, and wants to learn every detail. He’s smart, mobile, and can really spin it.”
Georgia currently holds the No. 2 overall class for 2026 and ranks ninth in 2027 recruiting, according to 247Sports. If the Bulldogs add another elite signal-caller to their future roster, the move shows growth over the course of an entire recruiting cycle.
