Tim Tebow met with the media Friday on behalf of SEC Network and ESPN to talk Florida and Texas. Yet even as he broke down the matchup, it was the mention of his three-month-old daughter that brought out his biggest smile.
Tebow’s daughter, Daphne, just turned three months old, and the 38-year-old admitted fatherhood has already changed his perspective. “It’s the best. It really is,” Tebow said with a smile. “Such a blessing. I can’t wait till she gets to experience her first game in the Swamp.”

When the conversation shifted back to football, Tebow praised Florida’s defense for its consistency, pointing to performances against LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier and Miami’s Carson Beck, who transferred from Georgia this year. “Even after all those turnovers against LSU, they kept the team in the game,” he said.
Tebow also looked ahead to Texas and sophomore quarterback Arch Manning. “Arch is improving every single week, and it will be a really good test,” Tebow explained. “I’m excited about the matchup.”
Tebow appeared cautiously optimistic that the Gators could challenge Texas provided they generate big plays. “Florida has to find a way to get explosive plays offensively. That’s going to give morale to the rest of the team, especially the defense,” he said.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET and the game will air on ESPN.
