Shedeur Sanders had his own way of dealing with the latest comments from ESPN contributor Rex Ryan. Instead of adding fuel to the fire, the Colorado Buffaloes legend and current Cleveland Browns quarterback decided to say nothing at all to reporters.
Every question asked was met with Sanders putting on a pantomime act. The gesture didn't sit well with some, including a Denver-based radio host, who ripped Deion Sanders' son with a social media post. Josh Dover from 104.3 The Fan framed the conversation toward what was acceptable for Shedeur to do. "Deion could do these kind of things because he as a good football player," Dover wrote. "Shedeur is not that right now so GROW UP!"

@ me groupies I'd love to hear what you have to say!! https://t.co/J7YgcCorD2
This all started by Ryan's original comments during an appearance on the network's morning show "Get Up," which sent shockwaves in NFL circles.
“This kid talks and he runs his mouth. Like he said, ‘I can be a starting quarterback’ with his arms crossed like this,” Ryan said. “Get your ass in the front row and study and do all that. If I know, the whole league knows. Quit being an embarrassment that way. You’ve got the talent to be the quarterback, you should be. You should be embarrassed that you’re not the quarterback now.”
The Browns are planning to start this year's third-round pick Dillon Gabriel against the Minnesota Vikings this weekend. The second quarterback in the rotation after former Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco has struggled to find consistency so far this season.
Sanders' chances of backing up Gabriel were dimmished by the team saying he would stay as the emergency third-string option. Whether that stay the same if Gabriel's NFL debut is a dud remains to be seen. One thing that's clear is Shedeur's not deemed as being ready to take the reins under center. But prepared or not, his opportunity for real game action will likely come sooner rather than later.
