Deion Sanders is entering his third season as the football coach at Colorado, but with the fresh start in a post-Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter era, "Coach Prime" is implementing a unique rule for his players.

Sanders has implemented a dress code for the Buffaloes that extends beyond their time focusing on football. Specifically, the former NFL star is requiring his players to be more mindful of what they wear to classes at the University of Colorado.

A clip of Sanders introducing his classroom rules recently went viral, with the coach saying he'll have "a problem" with any players who don't follow them.

Deion Sanders dress code rules

A clip of Sanders speaking to his team ahead of the 2025 season where he runs through a dress code for the classroom was released recently. Among those rules: no slides, hoodies, or headphones in class.

"If I see you in slides on campus, it's going to be problem," Sanders said in a video posted by his son, Deion Sanders Jr. "If I see you with a hoodie on in class, with headphones on in class, it’s going to be a problem. If I see you sitting in the back of the classroom, it’s going to be a problem."

Dress code wasn't the only aspect of Sanders' rules, as he always said his players cannot sit in the back row of classes, and if the class is virtual, there is no "walking around." Players also have to wear shirts during their online classes.

As the Buffaloes enter the 2025 season seeking new players to step up, from Shedeur Sanders' successor, quarterback Kaidon Salter, to one of Travis Hunter's defensive successors, cornerback DJ McKinney, Coach Prime has laid down some rules for his squad.
