Duke Blue Devils star Cooper Flagg had a lot at stake on Monday night. With the NBA Draft Lottery happening, Flagg was waiting to find out his likely NBA destination. Now, he knows where he's likely headed.

In shocking fashion, the Dallas Mavericks won the lottery. After trading Luka Doncic before the trade deadline this yer, the Mavericks will now have a chance to replace him with Flagg.

Flagg would form a big three with Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. It's a situation that very few thought would happen, but it's a situation that will give the Duke standout a chance to win right off the bat.

Following the news of Dallas winning the draft lottery, the Blue Devils took to X to make an announcement about Flagg. Assuming the Mavericks do take him at No. 1 overall, he would join fellow Duke alums Kyrie Irving and Kai Jones as new teammates.

"'My city' more like 'our city,'" the post read. "Coop x D Live x Kai."

During his lone season with the Blue Devils, Flagg did not disappoint. He lived up to the hype with his individual performance, but also led the team to the Final Four.

Looking ahead to the future, it seems to be a near lock that Flagg will begin his NBA career in Dallas. It's a great fit for him and he'll be a name that Blue Devils fans follow and continue rooting for at the next level.
