In the college basketball world, sometimes the rich just get richer.

The Duke Blue Devils got richer on Friday, landing a commitment from one of the best players in the recruiting Class of 2026.

Brandon Williams is the newest Duke commit. Williams is a 6-foot-11, 5-star recruit who is ranked as high as No. 3 in the country for his class.

The final three for Williams also included Arizona and Texas, but he went with the consistent powerhouse Blue Devils.

Williams plays at St. Mary's High School in Arizona. He's Duke's third commitment in the 2026 class, joining Bryson Howard and Maxime Meyer.

Rivals provided this analysis of Williams' game.

"It is difficult to watch Cam Williams play and not see the upside that he brings to the table. This is part of the reason why he was a Rivals outlier among the top-35 prospects in the country since last year. Listed at 6-foot-11, he brings great length, an intriguing skill set, and intriguing athletic fluidity.

"So, while his natural physical disposition catches your eye, you see the skill he brings with that. Williams prefers facing the basket on the offensive end. He is a more than capable spot shooter, knocking down close to 50 percent of his catch-and-shoot threes this summer."

Duke will likely have four or more of its current roster leave for the NBA after the season.

Williams, like a number of Blue Devils freshmen before him, will have a chance to come in and play right away, and probably play well.
