Duke Blue Devils get final NBA Draft decision from star guard image

Looking ahead to the 2025 NBA Draft, the Duke Blue Devils have quite a few players heading off to the professional level. After making a run to the Final Four last season, Duke is losing a lot of talent.

Tyrese Proctor is not one of the most talked about prospects coming from the Blue Devils, but he was an integral part of the program. There was some hope that he might consider removing himself from the draft, but that isn't going to be the case.

On Wednesday, Proctor spoke out and revealed his final decision about his future.

In a quote shared by Isaac Trotter of CBS Sports, Proctor made it very clear that he's going to stay in the draft.

“Yeah, I’ve always said I’m 100% in or 100% out," Proctor said. "I’m happy with my decision. I loved being at Duke. I wish I could (go back), but I am 100% in. (Duke) was really good with all that.”

Outside of Proctor, Duke will be monitoring the draft closely to see where Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, Khaman Maluach, and Sion James. All five players are expected to be drafted at some point.

During the 2024-25 college basketball season, Proctor put together a good year. He played in 38 games, averaging 12.4 points, three rebounds, and 2.2 assists. He shot 45.2 percent from the floor and knocked down 40.5 percent of his three-point attempts.

His game should transfer well to the next level. Proctor will be able to make a difference on both sides of the court.

ESPN currently has Proctor projected to land with the Phoenix Suns at pick No. 52 overall in the second round.
