Duke's all-time college basketball roster makes surprise Cooper Flagg, JJ Redick, Jayson Tatum decisions image

Because of the success of Cooper Flagg, it's been a popular approach in the past few months to put together an all-time Duke Blue Devils men's basketball roster.

ESPN's Myron Medcalf took the latest shot at it, and it's certainly quite the dream team.

The first thing everyone wants to know: Is Flagg on it, and is he starting? Yes, and yes.

What's the biggest surprise? Probably that J.J. Redick is coming off the bench.

And who is the biggest omission? As far as post-Duke accomplishments, definitely Jayson Tatum.

Here's Medcalf's starting five:

  • Jay Williams
  • Christian Laettner
  • Grant Hill
  • Zion Williamson
  • Cooper Flagg

The reserves for Medcalf:

  • Shane Battier
  • Johnny Dawkins
  • JJ Redick
  • Bobby Hurley
  • Elton Brand

Medcalf lists the following players as honorable mention: Marvin Bagley III, Jon Scheyer, Jayson Tatum, Sheldon Williams, Jabari Parker, Paolo Banchero, Gene Banks, Jahlil Okafor, RJ Barrett, Danny Ferry.

Surely, everyone agrees with all of these picks.
