The Toronto Raptors have had limited success since their 2019 NBA Championship. Since beating the Golden State Warriors over five years ago, the team has only made the playoffs twice. They are now on a three-season streak of missing the playoffs completely. There is only one player that remains on the team from the Raptors' championship roster, and he (Chris Boucher) isn’t exactly a franchise-building block. That’s why Brian Windhorst believes that a Giannis Antetokounmpo-Raptors trade could be in Toronto’s sights for this offseason.
Windhorst reported on the Hoop Collective Podcast Sunday that Toronto is a name to watch when it comes to teams looking to make a big splash with a star player this offseason.
“The Raptors are a team that is starting to make noise within the league about looking for a big fish,” said Windhorst.
He later added, of course, any team looking to make a huge move this summer has to consider looking into an Antetokounmpo trade.
Whether a Giannis Antetokounmpo-Raptors trade is likely is another story.

Everyone wants a chance at the Greek star, but if Giannis does decide to leave Milwaukee this summer, he will likely be making a short list of teams he is willing to be traded to.
In past reports, Toronto has not been a team likely to make that list.
Giannis is likely to try and land on a championship contender if he leaves the Bucks, and many believe that he is looking to play in a large market.
As presently constructed, the Raptors are neither of those things. Therefore, barring some other bold moves, don’t expect a Giannis Antetokounmpo-Raptors trade anytime soon.
