The Portland Trail Blazers added some size on Friday.
They reached an agreement with a 6-foot-11 frontcourt standout who averaged double figures at Kentucky in the 2024-25 college basketball season.
The new guy: Andrew Carr.
The Trail Blazers announced the signing on their team website. The team does not disclose such details, but at this point in the preseason, it'd normally be an Exhibit 10 contract, which would likely end with Carr in the G League.

Carr closed out his college career at Kentucky with averages of 10.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
He began his college career with Delaware and then went to Wake Forest before joining the Wildcats.
Carr averaged double figures in each of his final four college seasons.
At Wake Forest in 2023-24, Carr put up 13.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
In his college career, Carr shot 34.0% from 3-point range.
He also averaged 1.0 block per game across his five collegiate seasons.
The Trail Blazers have plenty of talent at center already, so Carr likely will be organizational depth. The returning Donovan Clingan and the rookie Yang Hansen both seem ticketed for run at center, and Portland also has former Celtics energy big Robert Williams.
But at least Carr gets a chance to try and prove himself as training camp gets underway.
