The Orlando Magic return to NBA Cup action on Friday night.
In doing so, though, they will be a bit short on star power. Against the Brooklyn Nets, that might not matter.
Paolo Banchero was hurt in the Magic's most recent game, and they'll have to figure out how to play without him.
Franz Wagner is injured, too, but he's playing through it.
Orlando Magic injury report
There are four players listed as out on the Magic injury report.
Those four are:
- Paolo Banchero (left groin strain)
- Colin Castleton (G League two-way)
- Orlando Robinson (G League two-way)
- Moritz Wagner (left knee injury recovery)
Banchero's absence is the only new one here. The Magic will face figuring out offense and rebounding without the dominant force that Banchero is.
There's only one other listing on the report:
- Franz Wagner - Available - Face Mask
Wagner broke out the face mask for the Magic's most recent game against the New York Knicks.
While players generally don't love the mask, they make it work so they can be out on the court.
And with Banchero out, it's even more important that Franz dons the mask and works his way through whatever pain he might be feeling.
