The Oklahoma City Thunder secured an NBA Championship on Sunday night, when the team won in Game 7 of a hotly-contested series against the Indiana Pacers, 103-91.

The title is the first in Thunder history after the duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook failed to deliver years ago. The young and supremely talented Thunder squad has a great chance to cash in on at least one more in the years to come.

With the victory, there will be no shortage of new Thunder merch to celebrate their title. However, one piece of merch in particular did not land with NBA fans.

The son of rapper and movie star Ice Cube, actor O'Shea Jackson Jr., took to X to voice his displeasure with how the hats looked. In fairness, he's got a point, as the Thunder championship hats are quite boring.

Jackson Jr. wasn't the only one giving it to the NBA for the lackluster design. Fans in his replies agreed that the league could've done much better.

"Lowkey pretty glad we lost, that hat is horrible," said one Pacers fan.

"Looks like one of those hats you see behind the counter at the gas station," another reply said.

"They need to bring back the hats from the 90s," a different commenter said.

"Everything about this year's Finals was trash," another fan said. "They put 0 effort in now and they wonder why ratings were so low."

While we definitely wouldn't say the hats are ugly, they are extremely bland.

It's safe to say the NBA could've done better, but the league could've done worse, also.
