Team USA isn't in the knockout portion of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup just yet.

After finishing at the top of Group C in the first round of the tournament's Group Phase, Team USA has formed a new group with Montenegro, Lithuania and Greece.

Records carry over from the first round into the second round, so the USA (3-0) and Lithuania (3-0) enter the second round with a huge advantage. Like the first round, the two teams that finish with the best record will advance to the quarterfinals for a shot at winning a gold medal.

Team USA won't play Greece again, but it will face Montenegro on Friday and Lithuania on Sunday.
