Game 6 shifts the battleground of Pacers vs. Knicks to Indianapolis on Saturday.

The Eastern Conference Finals has been a rollercoaster of blown leads and wild momentum swings, but in Game 5, the New York Knicks finally slammed the brakes on that trend. With their backs inching closer to the wall, they dug deep, found their groove, and ran away with a commanding 111-94 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night.

It marked Indiana’s first stumble in a Game 5 this postseason. The Pacers had previously closed the curtain on both the Bucks and Cavaliers in this exact spot—but this time, the script flipped.

At the heart of New York’s win was Jalen Brunson, who once again played like he had fire in his shoes. The Knicks' floor general poured in 32 points on an ultra-efficient 12-of-18 shooting, while also racking up 5 boards and 5 dimes. He’s been lights-out all series long, and Thursday night was no different.

Brunson now sits in rarefied air, joining elite company—LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander—as the only players in NBA history to notch at least ten postseason games with 30+ points and five assists in a single run.

Meanwhile, Indiana just couldn’t get out of first gear offensively. Their shooting touch went cold, and without their usual punch, the Pacers never truly threatened after falling behind early.

With the Knicks now holding a 3-2 series edge, all eyes turn to Game 6. The Pacers will be hoping home cooking can revive their magic, while New York looks to keep the foot on the gas and punch their ticket to the Finals.
