Did you miss NBA basketball? Well, luckily, the preseason has arrived. NBA teams will begin their ramp-up process with some preseason action overseas.
The first game of the NBA schedule is between the Knicks and 76ers in Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi is eight hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time, so the first preseason match will air at noon ET on Thursday, Oct. 2.
The Knicks enter this season with a fleshed-out roster following their Eastern Conference Finals appearance last season. The team lacked depth and made that a priority heading into the 2025 season. The core remains the same with Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns headlining the offense.
The 76ers also have a similar roster, but there's a lot of uncertainty, thanks to injuries. Joel Embiid, Paul George and Jared McCain all battled injuries last season, leaving Tyrese Maxey on his own. This group will be together again, but how much they'll actually play together is yet to be determined.
