What do Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James, Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade and former CBS evening news anchor Dan Rather have in common?

They were in absolute awe of Stephen Curry's Game 4 performance on Friday.

A true showcase of his utter brilliance, Curry was simply sensational in Golden State's 107-97 series-tying victory. He scored 43 points on 14-of-26 shooting (53.8 percent) and went 7-of-14 from behind the arc. Curry also grabbed 10 rebounds, which put him in rarefied air.

At 34 years old, Curry joins LeBron James and Michael Jordan as the only players in NBA Finals history to have 40 or more points in an NBA Finals game at age 34 or older.

James may have been aware of the achievement he was going to share with Curry because he was quite vocal in his support of the Warriors superstar's excellence on Twitter.

Dwyane Wade was equally amazed, addressing critics of Curry and delivering high praise to the Warriors superstar all in the same tweet.

Wade's tweet even fired up James some more as he responded to his former teammate with even more acknowledgement of Curry's greatness.

But Curry's Game 4 masterpiece didn't just create intense excitement in the NBA world. Dan Rather, who is 90 years old, was watching and had to tweet about it.

Curry's performance however, was that transcendent.

It put him in a pantheon of elite NBA Finals performances and was yet another reminder that he is one of the greats.
