Bronny James is not off to a good summer in his second NBA season.

The son of LeBron James scored eight points in his most recent Summer League game against the Mavericks.

He also went 1-5 from the field with just two points and three turnovers in an 89-88 win over the Spurs on Wednesday. He scored 10 points against the Heat earlier this month.

James hopes to develop more as he looks to make the Lakers' NBA team in 2025.

He played sparingly in 2024, averaging just 6.7 minutes, 2.3 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.8 rebounds per game in 27 appearances. He shot 31.3 percent from the field.

However, James was phenomenal in the NBA G League. He averaged 21.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 11 games for the South Bay Lakers.

Next up for James: The Pelicans.
