The New York Knicks’ signing spree isn't finished.

After signing two free agents last week, the organization added a 24-year-old former Ivy League star on Monday.

“Free agent forward Tosan Evbuomwan has agreed to a deal with the New York Knicks,” HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reported on X/Twitter.

Evbuomwan led the Tigers in scoring during his last two collegiate campaigns (he averaged 16.0 points per game in 2021-22 and 15.1 points in 2022-23).

Although Evbuomwan failed to guide Princeton to the NCAA Tournament as a sophomore, his consistent high-level play earned him Ivy League Player of the Year honors at the end of the season.

As a junior, the Newcastle, England native finally helped the Tigers reach the Big Dance, as he was a pivotal contributor on a mid-major squad that secured 21 wins (including a victory in the Ivy League title game) to punch their ticket to the main event in March.

Princeton advanced to the Sweet 16 under Evbuomwan’s leadership, defeating Arizona and Missouri to keep their season alive.

Regarding Evbuomwan’s professional career, the two-time first-team All-Ivy League member went undrafted in the 2023 draft but swiftly signed a deal with the Detroit Pistons

The 6-foot-7 pro only appeared in 13 games with Detroit as a rookie before bouncing around the league a bit.

Evbuomwan averaged 9.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game with the Brooklyn Nets last season, setting a career-high in both categories as a long-term project.

It’ll be interesting to see how Evbuomwan fares with the Knicks during their upcoming training camp.
