Is LeBron James retiring from the NBA? Revealing truth about Lakers star's 'Second Decision' image

LeBron James had the NBA world on the edge of their seats on Monday.

The 40-year-old Los Angeles Lakers’ star revealed that he would be making a special Tuesday afternoon announcement that fans shouldn’t miss.

Based on the fact that James will turn 41 in two months and has accomplished it all in the big leagues, many speculated that the Akron, Ohio native was prepared to step away from basketball for good.

James has won four NBA championships, four MVPs, four NBA Finals MVPs, earned 21 All-Star selections, and made the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team, giving him every reason to feel content with retiring in his early 40s.

Still, there was no guarantee that the former Cleveland Cavaliers phenom’s announcement would be centered around his NBA status.

No, LeBron James isn’t retiring from the NBA. James ‘Second Decision’ was simply a Hennessy ad, frustrating those who had a completely different announcement in mind.

However, it’s safe to say that Lakers fans are satisfied with the future Hall of Famer’s recent tease.

Considering James’ partnership with Luka Doncic has yet to reach its full potential in Los Angeles, it would have been devastating to watch James exit the NBA before it had a chance to develop into possibly one of the greatest duos the game has ever seen.

James will officially begin his 23rd NBA season on Oct. 21 when the Lakers face the Golden State Warriors on opening night.
