The Los Angeles Lakers have some big questions to answer this offseason after a first-round playoff exit. But, the biggest question rests on the shoulders of No. 23 LeBron James.
Will LeBron retire? It seems unlikely, although rumors have swirled ever since the Game 5 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Moreover, a Grade 2 MCL sprain only re-ignited those rumblings about retirement, although James clearly said "I don't know" after the Game 5 loss.
With the offseason now in full swing, James gave some insight into what his offseason plans look like in the latest episode of the "Mind The Game" podcast alongside Steve Nash.
"Number 1 is to get back healthy," James said. "My daughter's heavily in volleyball so I'll be in a lot of gyms this summer with her travel league team out in California. They go all over...Spend a lot of time with her and take some vacation time with the family and see what the next journey looks like."
As far as the future, James said that conversation has not been had with his family.
"I haven't had the conversation with the family yet as far as me going forward or whatever the case may be, but we'll see what happens."
Bryce James is off to college to play for the Arizona Wildcats, so that's another son of LeBron trying to make his way into the NBA eventually.
But, for now, LeBron James is just trying to recover and spend some time with his family while eventually making a decision on what the future holds.
