Jrue Holiday has been one of the best role players in basketball over the past several years, thriving in his role as a three-and-D guard. He played a key role in the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics championship runs, helping both team win the title during his first season with the franchise.
The two-time All-Star averaged 11.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.4 blocks per game this season while shooting 44.3% from the field, 35.3% from three-point range and 90.9% from the free-throw line. Holiday, who has three years and over $104 million remaining on his contract, is expected to be on the move this offseason as the Celtics look to get under the second apron.
The Los Angeles Clippers were recently listed as a potential suitor for the six-time All-Defensive team member.
"Holiday is expected to be pursued by several teams on the trade market, and a league source tells MassLive that the Los Angeles Clippers are one team expected to show interest in the 34-year-old guard this offseason," MassLive's Brian Robb wrote Wednesday. "The Celtics outbid several teams, including the Clippers, per sources, for Holiday back in 2023 when the Blazers made the two-time All-Star available following the Damian Lillard blockbuster deal to the Bucks."

Robb noted that the Clippers wound up pivoting to land James Harden, however, they have been unable to make it out of the postseason. While Los Angeles has limited trade assets available due to their blockbuster deal for Paul George, Boston could be forced to accept a weaker package due to Holiday's age, contract and their tax situation.
The soon-to-be 35-year-old was born in Los Angeles and played his high school basketball at the local Campbell Hall. He went on to spend one season of college playing for the UCLA Bruins.
