The NBA regular season is less than a week away, but the Golden State Warriors are still tweaking their preseason roster.

On Wednesday, the Warriors waived a pair of players who will likely end up in the G League, announcing the news in a press release.

Those two players: Marques Bolden and Taevion Kinsey.

Both Bolden and Kinsey signed Exhibit 10 deals at the start of training camp, setting them up to earn a bonus if they stick around in the G League with the Santa Cruz Warriors, which is likely the next stop for both of them.

Bolden was a five-star recruit to Duke out of high school, but he's never quite lived up to the hype at any level.

The big center has appeared in 18 total NBA regular season games, playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Milwaukee Bucks and Charlotte Hornets.

Bolden got into two preseason games for the Warriors this month, playing 11 total minutes and putting up nine points with four rebounds.

Kinsey traveled a less-heralded path. He was undrafted out of Marshall University in 2023.

Since then, Kinsey has signed multiple contracts with the Utah Jazz but never gotten into an NBA game.

This preseason, the 6-foot-5 Kinsey played in three games for the Warriors, playing 13 total minutes but not scoring.

The Warriors do now have two open spots on their 21-man preseason roster, although it's not clear that they have plans to fill them. Any signings at this point would probably be signed, then waived to send them to the G League, much like what seems to be happening with both Bolden and Kinsey.
