Warriors announce new injury timeline for Stephen Curry image

The Golden State Warriors are down 3-1 in the Western Conference Semifinal round against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Unfortunately, Stephen Curry has been out since halfway through Game 2 after he sustained a hamstring injury.

The initial diagnosis for Curry was he would be out at least one week, making the earliest return timeline at Game 6.

On Wednesday, the Warriors revealed a new update on Curry's injury front, per the team's PR account.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who has missed the last three games due to a strained left hamstring, has been re-evaluated. The re-evaluation indicated that Curry is making good progress in his recovery. He has been cleared to participate in light on-court workouts, including shooting drills. He will be re-evaluated again on Saturday.

Curry has said previously that he didn't have a return date in mind and everything depended on the recovery process. Moreover, with the Warriors on the brink of elimination, Curry also said he can't be superman.

“Even if I wanted to be Superman, I couldn’t,” Curry told the media in response to comments by Draymond Green.

Now, the latest update shows that Curry will be re-evaluated on Saturday, which is one game before a potential Game 6.

The Warriors have lost three in a row since Curry suffered the injury during Game 2, and with game 5 on Wednesday, it is a must-win or else the postseason comes to an end.

But, if the Warriors somehow get the win, Curry could be back by Sunday if everything goes smoothly, so there is a small glimpse of hope in Golden State.
