Stephen Curry fans think he's joining Jordan Brand because of a viral fake post image

Stephen Curry shocked the basketball and sneaker worlds by leaving Under Armour on Thursday.

He's got the Curry 13 still to come out with Under Armour, but after that, Curry Brand is set to be independent.

His brand could sign with another company, or it could set out to map its own course.

The news, of course, has brought a lot of fake posts onto the Internet attempting to go viral, and some have.

One says that Curry has signed with Jordan Brand.

Did Steph Curry sign with Jordan Brand?

But no, Steph Curry didn't sign with Jordan Brand. A viral post on Facebook has made it seem that way.

The post has over 5,000 reactions, 300 comments and 700 shares on the social media platform.

There is no real reporting out there suggesting such a thing. It's not clear whether Steph even wants the Curry Brand to join forces with another company.

If that's what he wants, there'd likely be a big bidding war.

Given that Steph went with Under Armour when they weren't a mainstream basketball brand, he could also choose to join an unexpected company rather than one of the big names.

This could be an ongoing saga for a while. Nothing has been decided yet.
