It’s been three years since the Golden State Warriors won their last NBA championship, the seventh in franchise history and fifth representing California. While they made two additional postseason trips, the Warriors were eliminated in the Western Conference Semifinals on both instances.

With another season approaching, do the Warriors have enough pieces to make another serious championship push? Stephen Curry may be a year older but is still one of the game’s best shooters. The same can be said for Draymond Green on the defensive end.

Jimmy Butler and Buddy Hield can help lighten the scoring pressure off Curry, while Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski are emerging players who could contribute to Golden State’s resurgence.

Warriors Lagging in the Western Conference

While the Warriors have some marquee names, will it be enough to carry them back at least to the Western Conference Finals? Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey doesn’t see it happening when he predicted Golden State to finish the 2025-26 NBA regular season with a 46-36 record.

“The (Denver) Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Houston Rockets have all gotten better. The Oklahoma City Thunder isn’t going anywhere. Barring some dramatic, unforeseen superstar trade, it's starting to look like Stephen Curry could spend the twilight of his legendary career in the West's play-in range,” Bailey wrote.

Meanwhile, FanDuel Sportsbook has the Warriors’ over/under at 45.5 wins. Bookies.com’s Bill Speros also wrote that Golden State will travel the sixth-most miles (47,027.30) across 51 time zones and 19 road trips.
