Sometimes, it’s time for a change after spending several years in the NBA.
A former Golden State Warriors NBA champion wholeheartedly agrees with that sentiment, as he recently signed with an Italy-based overseas club for the 2025-26 season.
“Juan Toscano-Anderson has signed with Pallacanestro Trieste,” European basketball insider Luca D'Alessandro announced Thursday. “Via Il Piccolo.”
Toscano enjoyed brief stints in Mexico and Venezuela before joining Golden State’s G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, in 2018.
However, the Oakland, California native didn’t receive his big break until 2020, when he inked a multi-year deal with the big dogs.
During the Warriors’ 2021-22 championship campaign, Toscano-Anderson averaged 4.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game, shooting 48.9% from the field and 32.2% from deep.

However, Toscano-Anderson’s stint with Golden State ended after the franchise’s NBA Finals win over the Boston Celtics, as the Marquette product was on the move that summer.
Toscano-Anderson secured a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, but only lasted half a season with the organization before getting traded to the Utah Jazz to finish the 2022-23 campaign.
The 32-year-old has only appeared in 11 NBA contests since the start of the 2023-24 season, motivating him to return to overseas basketball.
While age isn’t on Toscano-Anderson’s side, there’s still a possibility he could make an NBA comeback under the right circumstances.
