The Denver Nuggets parted ways with Michael Porter Jr. this offseason as they dealt him and a 2032 first-round draft pick to the Brooklyn Nets for Cameron Johnson. It marked the end of a seven-year tenure, which included him playing a key role in the first title in franchise history.
The 14th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft spoke with the media on Thursday for the first time since the trade. He revealed that he is actually friends with Johnson and that the two have even discussed swapping houses.
"It's crazy because me and Cam are actually boys," Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. stated Thursday. "We're pretty cool. We're even having talks of swapping homes. He might stay at my crib in Denver. I might stay where he lived in Brooklyn."

"Obviously, Denver got a great player and a great dude and I'm excited for him to be able to finally compete for a championship over there," Porter Jr. added. "And I, myself, am excited to expand my game and be able to do what I do."
Porter Jr. averaged 18.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.5 blocks per game last season while shooting 50.4% from the field, 39.5% from three-point range and 76.8% from the free-throw line. He figures to step into a bigger role with the Nets as Cam Thomas is the only returning player that appeared in at least ten games and averaged at least 10.0 field goal attempts per game.
He will also likely have a chip on his shoulder following an injury-plagued postseason that preceded his trade to Brooklyn. Porter Jr. struggled immensely as he averaged just 9.1 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 0.6 apg, 0.6 spg and 0.4 bpg on 39.2/34.3/71.4 shooting splits.
