The Dallas Mavericks were right there.
And then Kyle Kuzma pulled on Cooper Flagg's jersey, Flagg fell down, Kuzma got a steal and his dunk more or less sealed a Milwaukee Bucks win.
The NBA's last-two minute report, which examines officiating calls in the final stages of close games, came out on Tuesday for the Monday night action.
And it acknowledged that on this pivotal play between the Mavs and Bucks, the refs missed a foul:

The Mavs still had a chance.
P.J. Washington was fouled on a 3-pointer down three. He made the first foul shot, but then he missed the second, and at that point, he had to try to intentionally miss the third. He did miss, but the Mavs didn't gather it in, and that was that on a 116-114 loss.
It's too bad in the pivotal moment that the whistle didn't blow when it should've. There likely was one more chance at some Flagg or Giannis Antetokounmpo heroics if it proceeded with a foul from there.
