Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks seem to have a confusing relationship.
Rumors about him leaving the organization have surfaced almost every year, but he has always expressed his love for the team and city.
If the Bucks do want to keep him around long term, Andy Patton of Athlon Sports proposed an idea to land him his next running mate.
“Milwaukee is still pushing their chips in, acquiring Myles Turner to pair with Giannis Antetokounmpo in the frontcourt,” Patton said on Aug. 24.
“Before the window closes the Bucks will need to find some help in the backcourt, and (Anfernee) Simons is a logical addition to provide floor spacing and NBA experience alongside Giannis, Turner, and Kyle Kuzma.”
While there isn’t a hypothetical trade laid out, Milwaukee has some tradeable contracts like Bobby Portis and Cole Anthony to work this out.

Simons is currently on a one-year deal and was acquired to dump the contract of Jrue Holiday, so it is unclear if he is a part of their long-term plan.
Milwaukee’s experiment with Damian Lillard did not go exactly as planned, so why not try the guy who was taken under his wing?
Simons has been a career 15-point-per-game scorer and is a freakish athlete, much like Antetokounmpo.
It is clear Giannis still has some gas in the tank, but with their current roster, it will take more than his heroic efforts to win a championship.
Boston may want to hold on to Simons, but if they make him available for trade, Milwaukee should be the first team calling.
