The New York Knicks are actively searching for a replacement after firing head coach Tom Thibodeau.
On Wednesday, the Knicks requested interviews for current coaches, including Quin Snyder (Atlanta Hawks), Ime Udoka (Houston Rockets), Chris Finch (Minnesota Timberwolves), Jason Kidd (Dallas Mavericks), and Billy Donovan (Chicago Bulls).
However, all five requests were denied, leaving the Knicks scrambling to figure out what to do now.
ESPN's Shams Charania reported the Knicks' request to interview Quin Snyder, who is the current Atlanta Hawks head coach. Charania even wrote they were "firmly denied," suggesting Atlanta has no desire to move on from Snyder right now.
In turn, Hawks star Trae Young had two words: "Hell nah."

Snyder spent eight seasons as the Utah Jazz head coach before coming to the Hawks at the end of the 2022-23 season.
In his first two seasons as full-time head coach, Snyder has gone 76-88 and failed to miss the playoffs both times, but there are some promising signs in Atlanta.
The Hawks did finish as the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference but lost to the Miami Heat in the NBA Play-In Tournament.
Still, Young supporting Snyder publicly amid the Knicks rumors is a good vote of confidence for the head coach, and it will interesting to see what the Knicks decide to do now after a flurry of requests were instantly denied around the league.
