NASCAR is taking it to the streets for the first time in its history with Sunday's Grant Park 220.

That should make for an interesting sight. More than 100,000 spectators are expected to make the journey to Chicago for the event, which will be held at Grant Park, the heart of the city's business district.

There are more than a few concerns around the race. Air quality has been bad in recent days in Chicago. Couple that with not knowing just how stock cars will adjust to the Windy City pavement — as well as worries over how that pavement will handle Next Gen cars — and it's clear this weekend could go many ways.

However, NASCAR wants to keep pace with its motorsport competitors. IndyCar and Formula 1 have run numerous successful street races in the past. Now, it's NASCAR's turn to get in on the action. After 75 years, sometimes a little change is warranted.
