The Toronto Blue Jays were in much better shape last week than they are now. Having a five-game lead over the New York Yankees in the American League East, both teams now sit with a 90-68 record.

Toronto has lost its last two games against the Boston Red Sox, while the Yankees have won their last two against the Baltimore Orioles. With just four regular-season games remaining, every game matters.

Neither team wants to make it into the postseason through the Wild Card. They want to win the division and put themselves in a better spot when the playoffs come around, but Toronto is making that hard on themselves.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. did not have a good night on Wednesday in Toronto's loss to the Red Sox. He was ejected in the bottom of the seventh inning for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire.

Afterward, those frustrations turned into worry. With the Yankees tying up the division, Guerrero Jr. opened up about the team's struggles, via MLB.com's Keegan Matheson.

"We've just got to win games. Win games," said Guerrero Jr. "Obviously, we haven't been playing like we were playing and we haven't been hitting like we were hitting. We've got to get back to that and start winning games."

For Toronto to turn it around, it is quite simple. They must get their offense going again and get some quality starts from their pitchers down the stretch. If not, the Yankees will spoil their chances of taking home the AL East title.
