Seattle Mariners fans have rarely, if ever, gotten a feeling like this.
The Mariners went on the road for the first two games of the ALCS against the Toronto Blue Jays and won them both. Game 1 was narrow and close, while Game 2 was a thumping blowout.
Now, the Mariners travel home to Seattle for Game 3, meaning Tuesday is an off day.
With that combination of factors comes a feeling best described on X by the popular Mariner Muse account:
"Today has gotta be one of the happiest days I’ve had as a Mariners fan. On cloud nine about the team reaching an unprecedented juncture of the season, and I don’t have to deal with any nail-biting playoff game stress. Pretty cool!"
It is really cool to be in such a key spot in the playoffs but get out to a resounding advantage and have a whole day to sort of soak it all in.
The Blue Jays will surely put up a fight. They've had two special a season, filled with some comebacks, to expect anything less.
But for now, the Mariners can soak in the feeling of being 2-0 up on a travel day in the ALCS.

When is the Mariners' next game?
The Mariners' next game is Game 3 of the ALCS. It will begin at 8:08 p.m. ET, 5:08 p.m. PT on Wednesday.
From there, Game 4 is scheduled for 8:33 p.m. ET (5:33 p.m. PT) on Thursday.
If Game 5 is necessary, it's Friday at 6:08 p.m. ET (3:08 p.m. PT).
Game 6 would be back in Toronto on Sunday night, and Game 7 in Toronto on Monday night.
The Mariners surely wouldn't mind finishing this thing off in Seattle.
